I colored my hair red and hate it.?

i dyed my hair red and it turned more to a reddish orange. i hate it and want my natural hair color which is a dish water blonde. how can i get the red out?? i am scared that if i dye it blonde that it will go more orange or pink. any suggestions??

go to shoppers drug mart and ask for hair dye removale of go to a store that is simular and if u dont want to do that dont worry it will grow out with time just live with it i dyed mii hair plum and after 2 days it went red it was only suppose to last a 2 week and it lasted 6 monthes as long as it is not the colour pulse thanur gud and if u really want ur hair back go to a salon and get it dyed blond and it will not turn more of an orange because u cant dye blond u use bleach wich takes away colour so it will take away alll the colour and turn it blond (pure blond if thats wat u want) ps tell them what shade because depending on the amount of bleach it might be orange blond so make sure u tell them wat shade u want.

I would just wait a week. The good thing about red hair dye is that it fades so quickly that you shouldn't have to worry about it for long. Let it fade a little before trying anything drastic.

I did the same thing but with Highlights. What I would suggest for you is to go out and get a Loreal Hair color in a light-chocolate Brown. The darker undertone covers the orange-red color, and that will cause it to be either a darker auburn, or a reddish brown, which is what I would suggest for now. I hope this works!

Dont worry and wait a bit...wash your hair everyday and you will notice that the color will fade just about 8-9 days after that if you still hate it keep waiting...i dont suggest dying it again...results may not be pleasant

i would go to a stylist for this. it's kind of a craps shoot to color on top of color. they can tell you if you should get your hair stripped and start from scratch, if you can color on top of the other color or the might be able to fix the red so that you really like it!

It's time to quit playing with your hair at home. Now you are going to get into weird terrirtory if you try to get the red out at home. I have been doing this exact kind of thing for over 25 years and thank god my hair dresser always fixes it for me. Some hair dressers won't take you back once you mess up your hair and they fix the color. Mine is a real angel and always fixes what I mess up. Get to a salon for a corrective color, it'll cost anywhere from $50 to $150 depending in where you live and how bad things are. Best of luck to you, sugar. Go see a pro!

go see a pro! unfortunately red can only be cut by green tones which are found in ash colors- you would need a corrective color done by a pro and it'll probably be an ash blonde.

Your hair is obviously already damaged enough, if you hate it that much, I would go a darker color. You first need a "filler" you can purchase these at any Beauty Supply store. It fills the hair, so when you do color it, it won't turn out a crazy color. When coloring your hair...the shades are labeled(some people don't notice this) 4N, 5N, 6N and such "N" being natural I always have really really good luck with natural colors, they don't ever put a "Gold" "Red" or any color tone to it...just a blunt color! Good Luck!! If you try and bleach your hair you are going to have TONS of breakage!

Did you get it done at a shop or di it yourself project. I think you have to strip your hair to get it back blonde, which turns your hair into straw..it feels nasty..I would suggest you dye it red again, get used to it being the color it is now, or try a darker color like brown

Thankfully red is the fastest fading color. Baby shampoo will strip some color too. Just keep using the baby shampoo and it will fade faster then just leaving it alone. Also you could go to a beauty store and by a Toner that will tone it down or buy a Malibu which will help strip the color. If you want to go blonder try highlighting it. The bleach that is in the highlighting will definately take that red/orange color out. Good Luck
