What products work best in a mixed babies hair?
I have very curly hair that gets frizzy even though it isn't dry (because of the product I use). I use a product called Polish N Shine. It's available in the black hair care section of most major stores (I get mine for $1 at Dollar General).
It's a small bottle of clear silicone gel and you only need a tiny dab on a tiny head of hair. A little goes a long way and I have long hair. Doesn't take long to learn how much is good to use. It won't leave babies hair greasy and will help keep it healthy, too. Use it when the baby's hair is wet. It also washes out very easily and I am sure it is safe on babies. I used to use Pink, but I found it was too greasy and built up too much making it hard to wash out.
Good luck.

Try Motions for Kids.

use carrot oil, it wirks nicely!!

Try to wash it with just plain baby shampoo and try a cholesterol conditioner. Pink Lotion will make it greasy and anything with alcohol in it will dry it out. Try a leave-in conditioner or a silicone based serum.

Try some of the products made by Carol's Daughter. I use them on my daughter's hair (she has curly hair) and I love it. Their website is the same. Their products are all natural.

With my daughter, I use kids 2 in 1 shampoo.
When I fix her hair I use detangler spray, and spray gel. My daughter is only 1/4 black though. If the shampoo is drying her hair out, you can try the cream of nature shampoo.

I would use baby shampoo and baby conditioner for now.

As a caucasian woman with two caucasian children with fine, wispy blonde hair (lol) I use nothing on their hair. I know black/mixed hair is very different. Curly hair, as a rule, is much more dry than straight hair. I've seen all the products for black hair on the shelves, and unfortunately, I have no idea what any of them do! I do remember, however, what Oprah said about hair. (This was back in the day when Oprah was still cool...doing makeover shows, who's my baby's father, I have an unruly teenager, etc.) She said that black people, as a rule, put way too much "stuff" on their hair. They do this to calm it down, keep it from drying out, make it more manageable. The problem with doing this is that all these things they're using in their hair (pink lotion, for example) do help the dryness, but they're also mostly grease/oil, very heavy and clog the pores at the scalp, causing a nasty build-up and making the hair grow very slowly.
I think you'll get conflicting answers from everyone. If I were you, I'd ask your baby's pediatrician. Not that they specialize in hair, but the baby's hair is part of the baby, and they do specialize in babies. :)

What you might just have to do is find a hair product that works with the hair .sounds expensive but just might have to try it buy something until you find one that works or go to a black hair salon and ask

I recommend that you use the brand Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil products which can be purchased at Wal-Mart, Sally Beauty Supply and other beauty supply stores. They are very good for Italians as well as other bi-racial individuals (african-american/caucasian). We use this in our family and it works wonders. We also use Paul Mitchell products from time to time.
