Hair dye question.?

Ok so.. I have very light blonde hair.(dyed) and i am going to be dying it medium auburn...

On the box it shows the different shades of what you will most likely get depending on what color hair you have..

They have DARK BLONDE...but not my color..

I would like to know if i should really worry about it or not because I'm thinking all that will happen is it will be more red-ish which i don't mind.... but I dont want it to endup being like BRIGHT RED or PINK.

Please help? :\

Hair dye question.?

It will be vibrant, but should look great at the end. Props.

Hair dye question.?

I'd either leave it to a professional or use henna if you want the result of auburn hair.

Hair dye question.?

I'm a blonde and have tried red dye before. Beware - red dye washes out/fades faster than any other color. You may be a nice medium auburn today but in a week or two it will be faded to a nice orange-red shade. Sorry to disappoint! I wanted to be a redhead so bad, but it won't work for me. Good luck - if you have other questions, try looking for a help line # on the box. I know Clairol has an 800 number where they will answer questions for you.

Hair dye question.?

don't worry that just means that you should leave the dye on longer so it will be more of the color on the box if you don't like the color and want it darker wait a week and condition a lot then dye it again the same exact color and it should look more of the color you want it too.

I hope I helped

Hair dye question.?

You know what? It will probably get messed up because it cost $8. No offense. You should always color your hair professionally!

Hair dye question.?

The reason they don't show your current hair color on the box is because they don't suggest that someone with your color use that particular color. If you have very light blonde hair using auburn dye could turn your hair bright red. If you want to make that drastic of a change I would have a professional do it. Good luck!

Hair dye question.?

PLEASE PLEASE do not use one of the box colours as if your not sure of the colour you could very easily come out PINK. If you know any hairdresser ask their advice first. I learned the hard way.

Hair dye question.?

it might turn bring orange. be careful. you might want to dye it a dark auburn instead of a medium auburn. you have a better chance of it taking in the darker shade. and if it is too dark for you, then just wait 5 to 7 days and retouch it with a lighter color.

Hair dye question.?

You might want to try using a color a shade or two darker than what you have right now. That will give you a darker base to work with other than platinum. You might also want to try to go to a professional. They have more know-how than most of us normal people and will be able to give your hair a filler so that the color stays longer. Worth every penny! Trust me!

Hair dye question.?

is the blonde you have now bleach or color?

professional or home?

red color molecules are the largest, which is why reds fade so fast. so the other answerer (sorry , forgot your name) who said you could end up liking it now , but in a couple of weeks you could be orange. you'll end up needing to use a semipermanent color between your color touch ups.
