Best Hair Color for Cool/Fair Skin w/Blue Grey Eyes?

I am wanting to mix it up a bit. I currently have light golden brown hair (colored), though my hair is usually just a light ash brown. Boring, in my honest opinion. My skin tone is cool/fair with more olive undertones than pink. And my eyes are a medium blue/grey color. I have already attempted at one point last year to color my hair a medium brown, but it COMPLETELY washed me out. I looked sickly pale. I was thinking of a blond, but I'm too scared of that washing me out as well.

Tips, anyone?

try some highlights....go to a salon, dont try it yourself. that way you get the best shade for your tones. with highlights you can start with a few and gradually add more. then when you want to change back you can do it fairly easy with minimal damage. if you want drastic go red.....i suggest maybe an auburn which you can also do usuing highlighting techniques. go to your stylist and talk to them. good luck with your new look.

If you like blond but are worried about it washing you out what about a dirty blond with some low lights or get blond highlights to see how it would look before you do a drastic change. My friend has similar skin tone but green eyes and she has like auburn color and it looks nice. good luck.

Try a strawberry blonde. More red than blonde though. That would be beautiful with your skin and eye tones.

consult a hairstylist they will know what would look good on you. well a dark blonde would look nice or a golden blonde with some highlites would look really nice. with your color eyes any color looks nice.
